From Truth In Law, Reporter Michael Ioane— On June 28, 2012, the Supreme Court rewrote the Constitutional commerce clause into a boundless tax law. You read that right: our own justice system rewrote the American Constitution. The Heritage Network listed 10 provisions of ObamaCare, which will become legal in 2014, that you need to read. We’re featuring the 10 points as a brief list on Reporter Mike Ioane’s blog, but you can read the entire blog post on the Foundry.
- It increases taxes on families earning over $250,000.
- It adds a new tax to investment income.
- It puts new limitations on those with HSAs and FSAs.
- It adds a new tax on those who purchase medical devices: a $28.5 billion tax hike.
- It penalizes marriage.
- It violates religious liberty.
- It puts Medicare decisions in the hands of an unelected board.
- It puts a premium tax on health insurers.
- It creates a new unsustainable entitlement program.
- It puts over half of all Americans on a government program
Can We Fix This Problem?
Roberts has made one thing clear: if people want a socialist America, they only have to do one thing: allow Obama to stay in office. What happened on June 28th is a critical step in this direction, and things are only going to get worse with a President like Obama in office.
Reporter Michael Ioane is saying it’s time for the American people to wake up. It’s time to register, vote, and get to the polls this fall—before our beloved nation becomes 100% socialized. It’s already happening right in front of our eyes. Can this step toward socialism be reversed? The truth of the matter is that the bill can never be repaired. Our one and only option is repealing it. If we’re willing to fight to save freedom, we can settle the score this November by electing true Conservatives who will repeal this unconstitutional and dangerous bill.
“I believe there are more instances of the abridgement of the freedom of the people by gradual and silent encroachments of those in power than by violent and sudden usurpations.” –James Madison, 4th President of the United States
”Always vote for principle, though you may vote alone, and you may cherish the sweetest reflection that your vote is never lost.” –John Quincy Adams, 6th President of the United States
“Above all, we must realize that no arsenal, or no weapon in the arsenals of the world, is so formidable as the will and moral courage of free men and women. It is a weapon our adversaries in today’s world do not have.” –Ronald Reagan, 40th President of the United States
